Each of Canada’s provinces has its own small immigration program whereby the provincial government
can nominate individuals for immigration to their province based on their own specific criteria. After
getting nomination by a province, the individual can apply for permanent residence through the federal
immigration program. Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) usually break down into two broad
categories:-
i) Skilled worker category
And
ii) Business / Entrepreneur immigration category.
There a different eligibility criteria for each provincial entrepreneur immigration program. Following
are the provinces/territories that offer these programs. Quebec also has a different program for business/investor immigration.
